Ji Yeon

This episode kinda sucked. It was way too obvious. When they mentioned it was year of the dragon I remembered that was 2000-2001 and saw it was a flashback for Jin and a flashforward for Sun and I figured that Jin would end up dead. Maybe if I hadn't figured it out after the second scene I would have liked it better.

Couple small questions. Does Jin die on the island? or does he escape the island and die later? Does it matter? Only if Sayid kills him. I think Sayid put Michael in that coffin, not sure if it was personal or at Ben's request. I am happy Michael is coming back, but if he says "They took my boy." or "WAAAAAALLLLLLTTTTTT" I'm gonna go postal.

It turns out that we get another episode next week. My roomate tells me he read it was a Ben centric episode that was moved up in front of the Michael episode originally on the 16 episode season schedule. Makes sense to do something that will give a better cliff-hanger than what they did tonight.

I too was not impressed with last nights episode..... and I fell for the Sun flashforward, Jin flashback. I knew something was wrong, especially with Jin's renewed aggression, but I thought he was just excited about having a baby. Guess they got me.

I think Jin dies on the island because of the date on his tombstone. It read 9/22/04. I think that was the date of the crash. Correct? Also, there were (3) dates on Jin's tombstone 1974, 1980, 2004. I assume birthdate and deathdate, but what was the significance of 1980?

Well 1980 was the year I was born, so that's the significance of that date.

I fell for the flashback too. I don't have the Chinese zodiac years memorized, like Dan.

I think, probably, Jin died off the island. Unless he's one of the two that Jack claims died on the island, of the 8 that supposedly survived the crash. But, no, the producers said we'd know all of the Oceanic Six by this episode, and we've only seen 5 of them alive, so Jin has to be counted as one of the Six.

P.S.
I'm gonna confess here, I totally cried when Sun and Hurley walked up to Jin's tomb!

jin might still be alive on the island. i think he might have sacrificed his own rescue for her to get off to have the baby. the tombstone might be her own reminder of him.

Or if he is dead, it could be due to his d.u.i. :) see the pattern of d.u.i.'s vs. show deaths?

I cried too Juliet!! It was sad though I don't fully believe that he's dead, he could have been left behind on the island.

I'm confused as to who the six are. Does Aaron now count? He wasn't a ticketed passenger so I don't think he should...

Was Hurley just paying his respects or was he trying to push up on Sun?

Lame ep.

The flashback felt like a cheat and was annoying.

I was right about 2 things: Name of ep is the baby's name and Sun (maybe Jin) were part of the 6.

"Don't trust the captain" tells us what? Ben isn't responsible for the decoy crash?

And the Kevin Johnson reveal was a thud.

If this were the cliffhanger ep I'd be pissed. Next week better be cool as hell to make up for this stinker.

The problem with Michael's reveal was that there was too much time between seeing him and Ben's "I have a man on their boat" statement. He should have been revealed on either the 3rd or 4th episode. On top of that, they made the mistake of bringing him along on their panel at Comic-Con. Hey everyone, Michael's returning! Well gee, I wonder when we'll see him? The obvious conclusion is that he's the man on the boat.

Guessing that Ji Yeon was gonna be the baby's name isn't that hard. Ji Yeon isn't a Korean word. It's only a name. But congrats on your Sun speculation being right.

But if Sun does get off the island, and Jin doesn't, explain your number theory now, smartass. :P

Damn you woman. Just rub my belly and say "Good job!"

Actually the theory still works even if Jin dies on the island because the union resulted in the baby who "looks just like Jin".

Now that's a changed variable.

Also, Lil Aaron Shepard just got his Eve. Let's see that flashforward.

Don't you "woman" me, McNally. I'm not some Southern Belle you can charm with your half-assed attempts at sounding intelligent. Did you forget where I'm from? ;)

This pizza bagel is not easily impressed.
