"Of course he has, you look just like her." I think Harper was talking about Ben's mother, Emily (creepy enough, played by Michael Emerson's wife).
And speaking of Michaels, yeah, it has to be Michael on the boat. Why else would Ben tell Locke he should sit down for this news?
Also, Charles Widmore is the Economist, no doubt about that. But now that all of this has come to light, Lost seems to have lost it's mystery for me. I feel like I know it all now. Widmore eventually makes it to the island, Ben's back up plan is to release the gas once Widmore and his people arrive, killing everyone, but saving the island. Now that the gas is inert, the Island and everyone on it is in trouble, which is why the Oceanic 6 are needed back there. Widmore knew about the gas because of the Widmore Corporation's dealings with the Hanso Foundation. He may have wanted to take over the Hanso Foundation all along, and had spent years trying to find out where the research facility was. Then Tovard Hanso made the mistake of auctioning off the Black Rock ledger.

"I feel like I know it all now."
How is that any different than yesterday? ;P
I agree Widmore is the Economist but not with who TV's Juliet looks like. She reminds Ben of Anne, the little DHARMA girl that gave him the doll birthday prezzy.
What I really like about this Widmore revelation is that it sets up an endgame with Desmond. Widmore sees him as a coward, Des needs to get his honor back to marry Widmore's daughter, and now they have an Island between them. Plus Des has a superpower. He's got to do something cool with it.
I also think it connects some of the dots on Libby if she was a Widmore plant on the flight and was sent to deliver the boat to Desmond by Widmore.
Now who wants to take the time to look back at all the Widmore connections / mentions thru out the show? Like didn't Sayid's Nadia work for Widmore too?
Now that LOST has an end in sight, we are definitely getting more info than we are used to. Even with all of these revelations, I do think that there is still a ton of stuff that we will/need to find out. The only problem with LOST is that there are so many characters, backstories, flashforwards, that to truly answer everything, the show would have to go on for another 20 seasons.
As for the Desmond/Widmore connection...it looks like he intentionally had Desmond crash on the island. This way he could know exactly where (and when) he is. This would give Widmore the ability to make sure that he knew Desmond would be far away from his daughter with no way of them re-connecting. Penny must have found this out, thus beginning her search.
Annie, the little DHARMA girl, had straight brown hair and looks nothing like Juliet. Emily, Ben's mother, looks just like Juliet. Also, what's wrong with falling for someone who reminds you of your mom? I fell for you, Shaun, and you look exactly like my mom. :P
I'd have to agree with Juliet (not on the Show) that Juliet (on the show) looks like Ben's mom.
I don't agree that all the questions have been answered. What is the black smoke? How did Locke's father/Jacks Father/Kate's horse appear on the island? What is the deal with the whispers?
And the biggest question of all...
Who is Montong and how did he lose his arm???
If you want to give up on the show Cooliet, then you'll have to turn in your nerd member card. I'm sticking with it till the bitter end.
My guess on the whispers is that it is the voices of island inhabitants from the past or future overlapping into the "current" time. It's almost like in Stephen King's "The Langoliers" at the end when time sort of has to catch up with them since they were in the future.
I had no idea Mrs. Verni was such a handsome devil. ;P
C'mon, Ben never knew his mom. She died in labor. It's got to little dharma Annie. Like Ben didn't offer her a gas mask before killing her in the purge.
She prolly became a scientists and wouldn't be seen with Ben the creepy Workman who saw her as the toy doll she gave him.
I like the whispers theory. It'll be cool when Miles the Ghost Whisperer finally hears them...
"Annie, the little DHARMA girl, had straight brown hair"
Yeah, I don't think TV's Juliet is a natural blonde either.
I did like how her became straighter the longer she was banging Goodwin.
Does anyone know if there is website that is editing all these flashbacks into chronological order?
That'd be cool to have on DVD.
